Mother's Day ....

Rudy had to work all day, which was a total bummer. I had lunch with my mom, grandma and sister at my parent's house. We had Olive Garden take-out which was much better than trying to go to a busy restaurant. Ryder and I came home and spent the afternoon just hanging out together. I even did a little house cleaning. :/ Rudy's brother was in town from Phoenix so he and his dad came to see Ryder after Rudy got home from work. They got here right as we should have been giving Ryder his bath and getting him to bed so we had to skip his bath and he went to bed a little late, making for a grumpy boy. Lunch was nice, but other than that I kind of want a Mother's Day re-do. Guess there's always next year.

Still working soooo hard on crawling, but getting so close! He has the backwards scooting down. Soon he will be full on mobile! Today he got halfway into "downward dog" position.

Yesterday was Ryder's half birthday! I don't know how 6 months has gone by so fast, but his first birthday will be here in no time! Of course we had to celebrate this special day with a trip to the park for some photos and a visit with our favorites Karina, Kayla & Trevor. I really wish I knew how to use all the features on this camera ... I am determined to figure it out. Here are some of my favorites ....

We went to the doctor today, and of course had to get those 6 month shots. He was such a champ! He didn't cry and he even looked up and smiled at the nurse afterward. Here are his stats, which have changed just a little ......

27.5 inches tall (95th percentile!!!)

18 pounds (50th percentile)

Head size was 75th percentile, don't remember the exact measurement

I am surprised that he has dropped to the 50th for his weight. He is such a chunker! He is loving his rice cereal, most days anyway. In about a week we will introduce his first vegetable - should be fun!!

I have been busy trying to get read for our yard sale this weekend. Hoping to make a nice chunk of change. I probably will not get through everything in time ... but hey, there's sure to be another yard sale in the fall!
