Oh man. Today sucked. I don't know how else to put it. Nothing extremely terrible happened, but for some reason I felt like I was fighting back tears all morning. We had a staff meeting and as soon as it was over, I tried to hold myself together but just couldn't. And once a few tears came out, it started to flood. I really didn't want anyone to see me being upset, but there really isn't anywhere I can go be alone at work. And of course people kept asking what was wrong and that was making me cry more. It was just one of those days. I have kept a lot of frustrations bottled up lately and I guess I just couldn't hold it in anymore. I cried all through lunch and then I was able to pull myself together for my last 2 classes of the day. I am so happy to be home now. And to not have to work for the next 2 days. Why can't we only work 2 days and then have 5 days off?
I can't believe today is 9/11 and that it has been 7 years since the devastating attack. I didn't hear one person mention anything about it today and it kind of makes me sad. It seems like many people have forgotten. And yet there are still people who are living it everyday. I still remember where I was and what I was doing when it all happened. I stayed home and glued to the TV that whole day, and in the days to follow. It is so crazy to think that one day my kids will learn about it in their history class and I will be able to tell them what I remember from it. I think this day needs to be more about remembrance and not just going on with our everyday lives.
Anyway, here is what I want to be doing .... all day, every day .... i miss it so much ......
My life is not complete without dancing.
