Well .... Thursday finally came (after a really slow week) and bright and early in the morning was our ultrasound!  We were still half asleep ... I was up most of the night because I was so excited.  It felt like Christmas did when I was a kid!  We had to wait for almost an hour which I didn't understand because we had one of the first appointments of the day and there wasn't anyone there before us.  But we FINALLY went in and here is just a tiny bit of what we saw ....

This one is very hard to make out .... but on the left is a view of the face from the front .. and then I am not sure if that is a foot or hand on the right, but my guess is foot.

This is another profile view with the mouth open - so funny! You can actually see a tongue there too.  We saw him trying to put his hand in his mouth too, it was super cute.

And here is the proof ..... IT"S A BOY!!!!!  There's really no mistaking it.

We are so excited and just can't wait to meet our little guy!  I am sure November will be here before we know it.  Of course the first thing we did after our ultrasound was go and tell our parents and then we went shopping!  So fun!  It was hard not to go too crazy and buy a lot of stuff, but we still have to register and wait until after our baby showers to buy too much stuff.  We bought a blanket, a few outfits and a pair of shoes I have had my eye on for awhile.  Saturday morning I went to a yard sale down the street because they had advertised on craigs' list that they had lots of baby boy clothes .... and they did.  I bought a bunch of cute little outfits, some brand new bibs and a few other things that were good deals.  I have been checking Craig's List everyday for a crib and changing table.  We found a great changing table that I went and picked up yesterday, so that was exciting!  We called about a crib but they had already received numerous calls.  I am sure something will come up.  

This week I have extra days off .... not good for the paycheck, but good for getting things done around the house.  I am going to try to clean out everything and get ready for a yard sale.  We already have a ton of stuff sitting in the garage and multiple pieces of furniture to get rid of, but I know there is a whole lot more in this house!  Hopefully I can get a lot done.

One last thing .... can you believe all the deaths of famous people in the last week?  It's so crazy.  I was so sad to hear Ed McMahon died!  Farrah Fawcett, of course was sad, but it was also expected and I actually thought it had already happened about a week earlier.  But then ... MICHAEL JACKSON!!!  Seriously??  We had just gotten home from our ultrasound and shopping, I was sitting at the computer thinking of Ed & Farrah and I said to myself, "I wonder who the 3rd person will be, and I hope there isn't one."  Right then Rudy turned on the TV and we saw the news.  It was soooo shocking!   I am very sad about it.  I have ALWAYS been a fan of his, and I never ever believed the accusations against him.  He was so incredible and such an inspiration to so many people.  I hope he is at peace now and I know his legend will live on forever.   I think he was a very kind-hearted, generous person who went through a lot in his life, but ultimately wanted to make the world a better place.  I love that his songs have been playing non-stop on the radio and there have been so many special tv shows about him, along with non-stop videos on some channels.  June 25 was one of those days I will never forget.  I kind of want to name our son Michael Jackson, but I don't think Rudy likes the idea too much, haha.
