This week has been a stressful one so far.  A lot of "drama" happened at work while I was away and I am sure glad I wasn't there for it, although coming back to it was not fun either.  We were informed that once again, our hours would be reduced.  This will start the last week of June.  This is about the 4th time for this to happen in the past 8 months or so.  I used to work 5 days, then was cut to 4, and then 3, then 2 and a half days .... so I was wondering how much more I could possibly be cut.  Everyone was talking about how bad their schedules looked - some people down to 6 hours a week or worse.  So yesterday before leaving work,  I asked our scheduler if I could see my schedule with the hours cut ... I have to say I was shocked when she showed it to me!  They only have me scheduled for one day a week - and it looks like that one day isn't even going to be guaranteed each week.  WHAT!?  So potentially, there could be weeks where I don't even get hours?  I am trying not to freak out too much until I am able to get in and talk to my boss to find out for sure.  That won't be until Sunday, so until then, the job hunt is on.  I am stressing out soooo much and I know it is not good for the baby.  I hate t0 say it, but I almost feel like it would be better to be laid off at this point - I doubt that's really true, but at least I could collect unemployment and that might be more than what I will potentially be making.  I hate this stupid economy and the way people are freaking out about it.  I feel like Obama is making really stupid decisions, but I am not surprised.  And I just heard yesterday about all these proposed tax hikes in Tucson - including property taxes.  Our mortgage payment already went up this month because of property taxes being raised.  Luckily, we are refinancing our house and are hopefully signing the papers tomorrow.  This will bring our mortgage payment down quite a bit and that will help.

The other thing that happened while I was gone is that yet again we have another new rule at work - we are not allowed to talk to our co-workers in public areas!  We can only talk with each other in our private locker room.   I get that they don't want us ignoring guests and having in depth conversations about our private lives for 15 min., but not allowed to talk to each other at all?  This a zero-tolerance rule and apparently people will be fired on the spot if caught doing so.  I am not going to say much about this, because I don't know who is reading this, but I was just surprised to come back and find this out.

Like I said, I am in search of a job - if anyone knows of anything, PLEASE let me know!  I feel like it's going to be extra hard to find something due to the fact that I am pregnant and people probably won't want to hire me knowing that I will be going on maternity leave in just a few months.  Please pray that I find something.  Sorry for posting such a downer blog, I hate to complain on here - I know nobody wants to hear it.  But I just had to vent because the stress is building up in my body.

On a happier note, our sonogram is just 3 weeks from today and we should find out if we are having a girl or a boy!  I promise I won't post again until I have more positive things to share!

oh, girl. our lives aren't always full of the positive. the negative mixed in there is what makes it 'life'. i'm glad you share your life in all it's glory and sourness. it gives you depth. sorry you had to come back to that. that is one of the hardest things about blogging...never being able to say what you really feel in fear someone might read and get hurt/mad. i think you got your point across well. that stinks. something will come to you that is perfect for your new life.
great to see you guys! we always love getting together and would love to do it more. i think we are thinking of planning a trip there some time in the next 2/3 years...maybe for the winter or something. by then, our kids could be playmates!
take care and have a great stressfree weekend.
love yas.

love to your mom and sis. tell them they were missed!
