RIP Michael Jackson

What a sad day.  A sad 2 weeks really.  I still can't believe Michael Jackson is dead.  As soon as I woke up this morning I turned on the TV to watch the memorial service, starting with the family's procession from their private service.  It's crazy that they shut down a whole freeway for  that - but it couldn't have been any other way.  I thought the service was really nice.  The one thing I didn't like was Jennifer Hudson's performance.  I love the song she sang and for me the way she sang it completely killed it.  By the end I was a sobbing wreck - "We are the World" & "Heal the World" were amazing and the channel I was watching (while recording on 2 other channels) was showing different cities around the world where people were watching on big screens and everyone was holding hands and uniting.  I think Michael would have loved that, as he strived so much for unity in the world.  I feel so sad for his kids.  Not only that they lost their father, but now this huge custody battle that they will have to go through and having to see and hear about it every time they turn on the TV.  I sure hope that Debbie Rowe doesn't get custody.  And I hope those kids will live a peaceful, somewhat-normal life.
