Am I just an idiot?

Am I the only person that doesn't fully understand how health insurance works or is this a common thing?   I feel like this is one of those things that they should teach you in school but don't.  I have a long list of these things.  I wonder if they make it really confusing on purpose so people will just pay without asking too many questions.  Even when I do ask, I can't seem to understand the answer I am given.  And the statements I receive make NO SENSE.  It's so frustrating because I hate sending off a check, not knowing what I am paying for or if I am even supposed to be paying it.  Our whole healthcare system is just complete robbery.   I can't even believe how much they charge for things.  

I have about a million things on my to-do list right now, but can't get much done today because Rudy is putting the floors in our bedroom.  Our nephews, RJ & Nathan are here helping him - which means I am not needed!  :)  That is fine by me because last time I couldn't believe how sore my hands were and my knees were covered in bruises by the time we were finished.  We had to make a run to Home Depot earlier so we also took them to Peter Piper Pizza for lunch.  I am feeling super guilty for eating pizza because I am trying so hard to avoid fatty, un-nutritional foods, but I just couldn't resist this time and it sure was good!  At least the cheese has calcium and protein, right?  So anyway, our furniture is all over the house and most of the areas I need to do stuff in are not accessible at the moment.  I am feeling the need to be productive but just can't seem to knock anything off my list.  Hopefully by tonight our house will be put back together so tomorrow will be a productive day.  We are going to play Biker Bingo tonight, hoping to win some $$$!  We have been planning to go the past few weeks but every Thursday something seems to come up.

I still haven't gotten my car window fixed - turns out it's going to be more expensive than originally thought.  Story of my life!  Called around today though and hope to get it taken care of in the next few days.  

I am off to call the insurance company to see if they can make light of some of the bills I have received ....
