It has been an interesting week. I had some really bad luck with cars. Last weekend, I took my car in because I needed to have my transmission serviced and also my check engine light was on. I have to go through emissions this month so it was time to get that fixed. I actually had a problem last year at this time and I took it 2 different places to see what it was - they both said it was the cadalaic (?) converter. One of the places reset the code for me so that I could pass my emissions then without getting it fixed ($600 it would have cost). But eventually I would have to fix it before this year's emissions. I was sure that was why my engine light came back on. However, the place we took it this time said something different - that the fuel oxygen sensors needed to be replaced. So $450 later my car was supposed to be all fixed and they were pretty confident that I did not need the converter replaced. It drove really well for a couple of days and then Wednesday when I started my car after work, I immediately knew that something was wrong. It was shaking a lot and just didn't feel right. As I drove, it got worse and my engine light came back on. I got to a stop light and it was much worse, when I hit the gas pedal my car jerked and then would not accelerate so I rolled through the intersection (was making a left turn, but luckily no cars around me) and was able to pull off the road. I tried to call Rudy and his phone died. He was also just getting off work and was waaaay on the other side of town. At first I could not get ahold of anyone and I was sooooo frustrated! I finally got my mom, so she came to pick me up but we had to wait for a tow truck. Basically, I left work at 5 and didn't get home until 8:30. The next day, I took one of my parent's extra cars to work and when I got off, the CAR WOULDN'T START!!! I couldn't even believe my luck!! It was just the battery and I was able to get a jump and made it home much quicker than the night before. Something or someone was trying to keep me from driving! I was going to try not to drive all weekend, but that didn't really work out. I have my car back and it is fixed - turned out to be water leaking and being sucked into the distributor which caused it to malfunction.

This morning I had to get up and go to the dentist to get some fillings. My face has never been so numb in my life! I think they gave me way too much! My eye and my ear on that side were numb! And I accidently bit the dentist because I couldn't feel anything!! Oops, haha! I absolutely hate that numb feeling. And the drooling all over myself, haha. I was totally freaking out for awhile. I came home and tried to sleep it off. After a few hours it finally started to wear off and I am not completely back to normal, but almost.
That's about it for now. Rudy and I went to our favorite chinese restaurant for dinner tonight and I am so full I think I will get in my pj's and go to bed. Tomorrow I will be cleaning and grocery shopping. My usual Saturday routine. My friend Stevie and I have been trying to get our big dogs together for a play date so maybe we will get to do that. I am so glad it has been cloudy and cool - unlike the 90 degrees earlier in the week! I hope it stays like this for awhile. I am soooo not ready for the heat!
Hope everyone has a great weekend!
