Christmas Hangover

What a weekend we had! It was really great, but very busy and I paid for it today. I am beyond exhausted. We all are. The house is a DISASTER and I haven't been able to find the energy to start cleaning.

This truly was a really great Christmas! Even though Ryder didn't get it, I had a lot of fun playing Santa. I can't wait until he actually gets into it! He was overwhelmed with gifts - actually, we all were and we are very thankful and appreciative. We have only taken a few of Ryder's toys out of the box and he seems to be enjoying them so far. I am going to put a few things away so that we can get them out in a couple of months.

I have completely accepted the fact that Ryder is a full blown toddler and am really loving this stage, as exhausting as it is. Ryder is such a little chatterbox his vocabulary is just exploding! In the midst of all that super cute baby babble, he says multiple new words every day and I really should be writing them down because I can't keep track. There were 4 new ones today - SHOE (which is hilarious!), APPLE, CAR and then just before bed, when Rudy was leaving his room, Ryder waved to him and said "Byeeeee." It was super cute. I am amazed at how quickly he is picking up on things.

Ryder took a pretty bad fall today and it was really sad. He was running over to me, tripped on the edge of the rug and banged the side of his forehead on the corner of the coffee table. Poor little man. He got a nice purple egg on his head. I was pretty concerned at first and wasn't sure if I should call the doctor - especially since he went to sleep right after (it was nap time though), but when he woke up he seemed fine.

I can't believe 2011 is soooo soon! I have lots of resolutions this year! Anyway, I have tons of Christmas festivities to post about ... I am just about to try and format my new hard drive so I can get going on uploading pictures! Check back soon! :)
