Stevie, Ryder, Julie & Meagan ... hanging out with the girls!
This was sooo sad. He was not having a great day ... grumpy because he didn't nap well and he was down right tired. Rudy really wanted me to meet him at his parent's house for the super bowl, so I did. We stayed too late and the kid couldn't take it anymore. He SCREAMED the whole way home (the last place he wants to be when he is tired and hungry is his car seat).
We left a car at Rudy's parents and rode home together so I could sit in the back with him. I hate to have to sit there and just let him cry when I know that if I could just hold him he would be fine. When he did this with his hands, I couldn't help but pull out the camera and take a picture. So sad, yet so funny!
Gotta love the drool :)
In his cute hat ... dare i say, he kind of looks like a girl!
sleeping, under so much stress!
Happy Valentine's Day!
Ryder and I are just hanging out today. Rudy gets off early and I made his favorite thing for dinner - Tuna Casserole! It's ready to go, just have to stick it in the oven. We are having pizookies for dessert - YUM! When he gets home from work we are going to walk to the park and feed the ducks some bread that we need to get rid of. I am not a huge Valentine's day fan, but I also don't have anything against it. I think it is exciting when you are younger - handing out Valentine's in elementary school and then of course there are the "teen love" years. I think it's fun when you are dating someone to have a day dedicated to romance. Rudy and I had some fun Valentine's together. One of my favorites was the year we went to Peter Piper Pizza and had a candlelit dinner. That is so us. These days I would rather not spend the money on cards and gifts, but just spend quality time together. Plus, our anniversary is just around the corner so I prefer to celebrate that day and do the card/gift thing then. We are going to go out to eat tomorrow as a treat to ourselves though. I do not want to deal with the crazy waits at restaurants tonight and he has the whole day off tomorrow so I am looking forward to spending the day with both of my boys! And since the weather is soooo nice, maybe we'll do something outdoors. As much as I have been LOVING all the rain we have been getting, I gotta say I am also loving these perfect sunny, 70 degree days as well.
Ryder is growing by the minute and he does something new everyday! He is almost sitting on his own, which I can't believe because he is only 3 months. He is sooo strong though! Yesterday he was on my lap and I realized he was sitting without my help. Pretty soon he will be a full time sitter! He has also learned how to inch himself around while on his tummy. He pulls with his arms and pushes with his legs. I thought we had plenty of time before we needed to start baby proofing, but it looks like we are going to have to start thinking about it sooner. He is just the perfect baby. Still sleeping 10 hours straight at night, mellow and happy as can be all the time (until he gets hungry). His smile lights up the room and when he laughs it brings joy to my heart! We need to work some more on the bottle thing, so that I can get away if I need to, but I am sure with more practice he will get the hang of it. We just haven't been trying enough.
