I am totally frustrated. I cannot believe I haven't had this baby yet. I am starting to feel like Joe's wife on Family Guy who has been pregnant forever. I am thinking that is going to be me, permanently pregnant and never going to meet this baby. I am exhausted because I am too uncomfortable to sleep and am just downright grumpy. I am totally sick of all the calls/texts/messages throughout the day of people asking me what's going on, have I had the baby yet, when do I think it is going to happen, etc. I know people are just anxious and excited, but TRUST ME, no one is more than I am and everyone bugging me is not helping at all. I keep telling everyone I will let them know when something happens, but they still keep calling. Please don't anyone take this personal ... I am just venting. And I will probably blow everyone off in the meantime. SORRY.

So I went to the doctor on Thursday and she said I was so close, just needs to be set off. So she did an extremely painful procedure to try and "irritate" my cervix. Ouch. And it didn't seem to do much. Except that night I felt awful. Achy, feverish, flu-like .. and I think it was just because my body was totally wigged out. Luckily I didn't actually get sick. If nothing happens by tomorrow afternoon, I have to go back to the doctor and she is going to schedule an induction. I REALLY do not want to be induced, but at the same time I want him out NOW. Please pray that he decides to come on his own and that I do not have to be induced!!!
Sorry for the downer post ..... just really needed to vent. I am going to go out for my nightly hour-long walk and hope it helps.

The night my water broke with Andre, I ate 3 huge helpings of spicy chicken pasta. I'll get you the recipe from my sis! ;)
I know it's tough. Especially being so uncomfortable...i slept in the recliner the last 2 weeks with mine because I had the WORST heartburn/indigestion! I'm sorry! And I know what you mean...the "So, have you had the baby yet?!" is so annoying. Simply because people act like you are going to keep it a secret or something! Yes, if I give birth, you will find out...eventually.
Love you and I, too, can't wait for you to experience that. Meeting your child for the first time surpasses anything I've ever done.
Good luck! You two will do amazing!
Oh, and don't apologize for being grouchy. It's your right. And anyone who doesn't agree...well, they don't need to be someone you hang out with right now!! :)
My daughter was two weeks early... so you think I wouldn't have all those calls? Instead of calling and asking where the baby was they called asking why was she early??! PEOPLE leave me alone I just had a baby!! haha they never stop!
hey Andrea....been thinking about you. I understand your frustration. When I was expecting Amanda I had her nursery all ready about a month before her due date cause they would say ' you could go any time now'....well, when she wasnt' here by her 'due date' I finally had to close the door to her room cause every time I walked by there I cried. I figured she was never going to get here and I was going to be HUGE for the rest of my life. My doctor ( who was very cute by the way and just a couple years older than me!) assured me that no woman had actaully ever been pregnant forever. He also told me that 'we don't pick em till their ripe' and that he wouldn't let me go two weeks past my due date. Well sure enough two weeks to the day after her due date Amanda decided to enter the world. I just think she wanted to arrive on her own terms....she's still like that :)
Remember, this was AUGUST in IOWA and I was about to croak, we lived in a mobile home (AKA...a trailer!) with no Air Conditioning. Two days before she was born I went to the state fair and walked all over that place! Let me tell ya...I quickly learned where all the bathrooms were on that fairground because I was spotting the whole day and I kept going to the bathroom to "check myself". Plus as you know, when you are 9 1/2 months pregnant you have to have a restroom available at a moment's notice.
Needless to say, amanda arrived, all almost 10 pounds of her and she was well worth the wait. She was big enough by that point that she was a good eater. IN fact, she was the biggest baby they had seen at the hospital in years so even the little cafeteria worker ladies had to come see her. One more unusal thing....she was teh ONLY baby in the nursey the whole time we were there. The town she was born in only had a population of about 2,000 and they were mostly older folks so we felt pretty special during our stay there!
Hang in there and just remember,, the longer that little fella stays in there the bigger the relief once he's out!
