1 week old!

I can't believe Ryder is already a week old!  It has gone so fast.  He has changed so much already, he looks a little different to me everyday.  We are just enjoying him so much!  He is a really good baby.  He hardly ever cries - just fusses a little when he is hungry and sometimes when he needs to be changed.  But it's never a big cry.  He is a great sleeper too.  We have to wake him up in the night to feed him and sometimes it takes an hour to get him up!  Last night was better though, we woke him up easily, fed him and he went right back to sleep.  It was nice because we got more sleep that way.  He was up alllll day today though so I have a feeling he will be hard to wake up tonight.  He is sleeping now - this is the first time he has slept in the evening.  We were finding that he was most awake from about 6pm-midnight and I thought it was because that was around the time that he was born.  Hopefully someday we will get on a regular schedule, but right now I am not too worried about it and I am just letting him be in charge.

We had our first outing yesterday.  He had his first Dr. appt and then we went to Target.  The doctor said everything is good, he is back to his birth weight.  He did have to get a shot, but he took it like a champ.  He let out the biggest cry we have heard yet - the kind where their mouth is wide open, body shaking but no sound coming out and no breathing happening - it broke my heart!  But as soon as I picked him up he stopped and snuggled up to me.  Target wore me out and we had planned to make another stop, but I started not feeling well so we decided to go home.  I forget that my body is still healing and I realized I need to take better care of myself.  Rudy is going back to work on Saturday and I am really dreading it!  He has been such a big help.  I hope I won't be too overwhelmed when I am alone, but I think it will be fine.

I am super excited for Thanksgiving!!  It's my favorite holiday and it will be extra special this year with little Ryder to share it with.  And I can't believe Christmas is just around the corner!

Well, I will try to post some pictures tomorrow if I can find the time.  He is soo darn cute!
