I think it takes me longer to post when I have pictures to include because I hate transferring pictures from camera to computer. It takes too long! I have way too many pictures on my memory card but I hate to erase them because I haven't backed them up. I need to sit and do that someday.
Last week was a crazy stressful week .... with finishing the floors and trying to put the house back together and get it clean by Friday evening. It was the bridal shower that I threw for my good friend Katie at work. Our other buddy Shelly helped throw the shower too. It was Friday night at 6pm and if you would have seen our house at 2pm that day, you probably wouldn't have believed there was going to be a party in just a few hours. Rudy and his dad were finishing the baseboards, trim, etc. Somehow we managed to put the house back together and make it look great, just in time! We had a fun little party with our co-workers. I asked everyone to bring an appetizer, along with the recipe for it to give to the bride. While we ate, we played a fun little matching game. Then Katie opened her presents and next we played another really fun game called "Toilet Paper Brides." It was one we played at the shower that Rudy's family had for me. Everyone gets a partner and between the 2 of them, a roll of toilet paper. One person has to design a dress for the other and then the "brides" have a little fashion show. Good times! We ended the night by cutting and enjoying the cake. Afterwards, Rudy and I went to the bowling all with Shelly, Katie and her fiance. It was a fun night and now that it is over, we have been enjoying our house. It has such a new feel to it and it is sooo exciting!
