Change is good!

Part of the living room, before we moved in ....

The dining area .... we like to call this color pumpkin pie.

The den/computer room .... about to be transformed!

Starting to paint ...

The new living room! We are going to paint the green wall beige, but we didn't have enough paint, so until we buy more it will stay green.  At least it's not pumpkin pie anymore!
The entrance .... still needs some life.

The kitchen ... will probably change someday, but ok for now.

We painted the door yesterday, it's so much brighter!
You can't tell as much in the pictures.

Looking into the computer room, notice the bright trim!

The new den!!  My favorite room!
In case you noticed there are no flowers in the vase yet,
I haven't decided whether to do fake flowers or a potted plant.
But anyway, this room is almost complete.  Need something on the wall.

I have been looking for curtains forever and found these at Big Lots the other day.
$15 for both!  What a deal!  Now, imagine the beige wall extended.

We still need to put stuff on walls and add some more life to everything, but for now we are happy with the results.

Not a whole lot of excitement to report.  It was a pretty stressful week at work, with lots of layoffs happening and seeing many friends let go. I wish this economy would get better quickly.  Everyone keeps saying it's going to get worse before it gets better, but how much worse could it get?  I just really hope that we can get through this time and that I will be able to keep my job.

We did a little more painting yesterday, just the trim of the rooms we already did.  Still have some left to do,  but little by little, we are making our mark in this house.  I know it will be a project until the day we move out and then it will be time to start all over.  It is fun and exciting but also stressful and overwhelming at times.  I have to keep reminding myself to step back and take a deep breath, remembering that I don't have to do it all at once.

Well I really can't think of anything exciting enough to post about, but I wanted to get up the pictures that I promised.  Enjoy!  And have a great week!
