Nothing exciting here ...... it's been a typical week and weekend, except that I worked a lot of extra hours this past week and was EXHAUSTED!! I was getting pretty used to having more time off, but it looks like I am going to get all of my hours back in the coming weeks, which is a bitter sweet for me. The paychecks will be nice, but I have sure loved having so much free time to do stuff at home.
We have been looking at flooring and pretty much know what we want, so hopefully this week we can buy it and then next week start putting it in. I am throwing a bridal shower at my house for a co-worker on Feb. 2oth, so the goal is to have it done by then. I think we can do it. We also had the house appraised last week for our refinancing, so if all goes well, we should close on that by the end of the week. What a relief that will be - saving $200 a month!
I went to the grocery store today and it was pretty much stress-free! YAY! The past few trips have been awful. I drove a little further to go to Albertson's and it was definitely worth it. There were not a lot of people and I could get through the aisles very easily, without getting irritated. They also had a great selection of produce and I found some good deals. The nice thing about going there is that it is close to Trader Joe's, so I was able to make a quick stop there on my way home. It's one of my favorite stores, but there isn't one really close to our house and I can't do all of my shopping there so I hate to make a special trip for it. All in all it worked out well and I think that will be my new routine. The employees at Albertson's were also very friendly and helpful, which is a plus. The bagging guy didn't act irritated when I pulled out all of my cloth bags ... which tends to happen at Fry's. I am excited to try out a few new recipes this week!
I think that is basically it ..... finishing laundry and cleaning, getting ready to start my week tomorrow. Next Saturday we are going to Tubac to spread our friend Dale's ashes (the one who passed away last month) and then on Sunday is his Celebration of Life - also his birthday, so I got the day off.
Have a great week!
