Nothing too exciting.....

I know it's been a really long time since I have posted.  Haven't had much to talk about.  We had a little party last weekend with my co-workers at our house.  I haven't downloaded the pics onto my computer yet, but when I do I will post them.  Other than that, it's been pretty boring around here.

I went to work on Sunday not feeling well and ended up going home ... and then I took Monday off too because I have vacation time that I need to use and if you are out 2 days in a row it only counts as one occurrence.  I didn't have to work on Tuesday because with my hours being cut I have 3 days off now.  By yesterday I was totally going stir crazy after being in the house for 5 days (since Fri/Sat are my normal days off), so I was actually looking FORWARD to going to work.  While I was getting ready in the morning, work called and they said they did not need me for my morning scheduled hours and that if I wanted,  I could have the whole day off.  I said HECK NO!  Let me work!  So I only had to work in the afternoon.  Bummer.  Luckily I worked a full day today.  But it turned out to be a HORRIBLE day!  And now I have 2 more days off.  Does anyone know of any part time jobs that I could do on the side?  I really need to make more money asap.  Thankfully Costco is doing really well so we know that Rudy's job is completely safe.  But that alone will not pay the bills.

No major plans for this weekend, but Sunday is our 5 year anniversary so we are thinking about going to Oregano's for dinner.  It is the place we met and I think we have gone every year for our anniversary.  Tomorrow we both get to be off together.  That should be nice.

We are thinking about ripping out all of the carpet in our house.  I have really bad allergies and I think the carpet is one of the things that really irritates me.  I am miserable about 90% of the time that I am home.  It's really wearing on me.  We would love to put in wood floors if we can afford it.  We will probably do the work ourselves to save on labor costs.  I really hope we can do it sooner than later.  I think if we got leather furniture it would help a lot.  Our couches are pretty old and also seem to irritate me quite a bit.  We will see what we can come up with.

Anyway, I am pretty tired so I think I will go to bed.  Looking forward to a day with the hubby tomorrow.  Also looking forward to Thanksgiving next week!  One of my favorites.  I used to not really like the holiday when I was younger and now I love it!  I am so glad I was able to get it off from work this year ... but I have to work at 8:30 the next day.  I would have had it off, but that was the only way I could also get Christmas off this year, so it will be worth it.
