Precious doesn't even being to describe him!
He thinks his daddy is sooooo funny!
That's right, I won! I found out today that I won a contest I had completely forgotten I entered. My favorite website, as you know is babysteals.com. I don't know if I have mentioned before, but it has 2 sister sites - kidsteals.com and scrapbooksteals.com. If you have kids or like to scrapbook, you should seriously become addicted to these sites too. Anyway, they often have contests and giveaways. I always enter and never win. Scrapbook Steals recently had a guest designer - Tanya Smith. They basically have her create things out of the "steal of the day" and feature them on her blog .... all I had to do to enter the contest was go on her blog and comment on her work. Like I said, I had completely forgotten that I had entered. Today I noticed a comment on my last post and was surprised when I read it and I didn't know this person ... and they were telling me I had won the contest! I had a moment of "is this a scam?" Haha! It's for real though! Check it out yourself .... tanyamsmith.blogspot.com/2010/06/winner-for-scrapbook-steals-drawing.html
Good thing I used my blogger account when I left the comment or I would never have known I won! I am so glad that she contacted me to let me know. I am not sure what I won, but I can't wait for it to get here - some sort of scrapbooking fun-ness! I can't wait! I will be stalking the mailman this week. :)
Ryder took 2 great naps today! An hour and a half this morning and then an hour and fifteen minutes in the afternoon. I slept too during the morning one. :) As soon as I got him down later, I took a shower and dove into cleaning out the pantry .... I got mostly finished before I woke up and then was able to plop him on the floor with a pot and a wooden spoon, allowing me to finish. Why is it that his toys can't entertain him for more than a few minutes, but simple kitchen items can keep him busy for a long time?
I am happy to report that we have been cloth diapering for 2 weeks and it is going great! I am so happy that we made the switch. My only complaint would be how bulky they are, but that's not a big deal. We use 1-2 disposables a day. We are still using them over night and then occasionally Rudy puts one on him when he changes him in the morning. I only have to wash them twice a week, so it's not really making for a lot more laundry. I thought I'd be doing them every other day, but haven't had to. The "poop catchers" are great when he has solid poop! It really is as simple as taking the liner and flushing it down the toilet. No spraying required.
I am excited to celebrate the 4h of July tomorrow! This is another holiday that I would typically spend at work, so getting to be home is really nice. That's just another bonus to being a stay at home mom. Karina, Joel and Kayla are coming over and we are going to BBQ! We are looking forward to hanging out with good friends. And it's always fun to get the babies together.
I have lots of pictures to share, but I am tired so I will just leave you with a couple for tonight! :)
