My first baby shower was a great success!  My sister is such a great party planner and she put together a really nice party!  I had a blast and we had a really great turnout.  It was so good to see everyone.  It was at the Tanque Verde Guest Ranch which is just beautiful.  There was SOOO much delicious food and the dessert table was AMAZING!  My sister was apologizing that she didn't get to make the cake that she had planned on .... but there was no need for it and I am pretty sure no one would have had even a bite of it!  There were soooo many cakes, cheesecakes, cookies and other things to choose from.  I could have just eaten dessert the whole time.  We played lots of silly games and it was jungle-themed to the max!  I am kind of sad that it is over.  And I am completely overwhelmed by the amount of gifts we received!  Rudy was blown away when he got home.  Our house is just full of baby stuff now.  And I still have 2 more showers!  This weekend my good friend Katie, from work is having one with all of my co-workers and then next weekend Rudy's family is having one.  I feel so blessed to have so many great people that want to celebrate this event.

We still have a lot to do in the nursery ... and there is a good chance it won't be completely done by the time the baby gets here.  It's fine though since he won't be sleeping in there for awhile.  I was a total slacker with housework last week .... and surprisingly I didn't drive myself too crazy over all the things I wanted to get done.  I am going crazy this week, but have been working extra hours and just am all around not feeling well.  I feel completely drained and seem to have a headache most of the time.  Hopefully I can get up some energy in the next few weeks to get some final things done!  My great friend Meagan volunteered to come and clean our house while I am in the hospital, before we bring the baby home and I think I am going to take her up on it!  That was actually one thing on my mind ... what if the house is not clean when it is time for me to go to the hospital and how can I bring a baby home if the house is not clean?
