The Desjardins: It's been awhile ....

I know. Sorry. Holiday stress has gotten the best of me. I am so relieved that I am done with my shopping and don't have to go to anymore stores. The people are getting vicious. On Friday, Rudy and I had to go to the mall for a few things and while we were looking for a parking spot, we came to a place where 2 lanes merges and 3 people basically cut us off (good thing Rudy was driving, he has a lot more patience than I do), and then we started to go and this woman comes flying by us and cuts us off, nearly hitting us. Rudy just quickly beeped the horn, a little chirp just to say, "hey, that wasn't cool," and the lady turns around and FLIPS US OFF!!!! After SHE cut US off. The nerve off some people!! I wanted so badly to get out and kick her car!! Instead I screamed at her and gave her the bird right back. What a jerk. We found a spot right away and as we were walking in, we saw her still driving around trying to find a spot. That made us feel better. But I was already in a bad mood before that, and it just made my shopping worse. I don't think we even bought anything because I was too mad to make any decisions. Rudy finally said, "I think we should feed you, it might put you in a better mood." And he was right I was hungry, so we ate and then left mall which instantly lifted my spirits. I just can't help it, I do not like shopping during the holidays. I love buying gifts for people, don't get me wrong. But it is so overwhelming to have to buy gifts for so many people at once. I think we will do more for people's birthdays and next year for Christmas it will be either gift cards for all or donations in people's names.

Last night was our holiday party for work. This year it was held at someone's house, which happens to be about 2 min. away from ours, so that was nice. We didn't stay super late, but then I was not able to sleep at all last night so I was a very tired girl at work today. I decided to lay down on my lunch break and ended up PASSING OUT!! Dreams and all. It was hard to get up and go to my next class (complete with sleep lines on my face) but after about an hour I felt much better. It was very warm today, after our really cold week. I am not sure which I like better. I hate the extreme heat, but I sure do not like the cold either. Kind of makes me glad I don't have to deal with snow. I am not sure I could survive.

I want to let everyone know that our Christmas cards are going to be late this year. We ordered them a couple weeks ago, but when they came in we were very disappointed because the print for our personal message was TINY. You had to squint to read it, so there was no way I was sending them out. We were able to get refund and have ordered new ones, but they have not come yet. I hope they will get here before Christmas.

I know more has happened since the last time I wrote, but I can't really think of anything right now so I will just hare some recent photos.
